【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddescribestheceramographicpreparationofuraniumdioxide(UO2)sinteredpelletsforqualitativeandquantitativemicrostructureexaminations.Theseexaminationsmaybecarriedoutbeforeandafterthermalorchemicaletching.Theyenable—observationsoffissures,inter-orintra-granularporesandinclusions,—measurementofporeandgrainsizeandmeasurementofporeandgrainsizedistributions.ThemeasurementofaveragegrainsizemaybecarriedoutusingaclassicalcountingmethodasdescribedinISO2624orASTME112,i.e.interceptprocedure,comparisonwithstandardgridsorreferencephotographs.Themeasurementofpore-sizedistributionsisusuallycarriedoutbyanautomaticimageanalyser.Ifthegrain-sizedistributionsarealsomeasuredwithanimageanalyser,itisrecommendedthatthermaletchingbeusedtorevealthegrainstructureuniformlythroughoutthewholesample.
